The story of Della Fonte began in Milan in 1969, when Stefano and Liliana Della Fonte opened their first jewellery boutique on Via Meravigli, one of the city's most distinguished addresses. More than half a century later, the family name remains closely connected to the city — and to a very particular way of creating fine jewellery.

A second boutique opened on Corso Vercelli in 1992. It was here that Stefano began to devote himself increasingly to precious stones, developing an expertise that would become the foundation of the family's jewellery house.

A Family Tradition, Continued

In 1999, his eldest son Alberto joined the business as a certified gemmologist. His knowledge of gemstones brought a new depth to the family's work, while preserving the standards established by his parents. In 2008, his younger brother Federico followed, bringing with him a background in fashion and an instinct for design that complemented Alberto's gemmological expertise.

Since 2014, the two brothers have led Della Fonte together. Alberto oversees the house's relationships with clients, goldsmiths and trusted suppliers. Federico travels internationally in search of exceptional gemstones, new ideas and the details that can make a piece truly distinctive. Different perspectives, one shared standard.

The Stone Comes First

At the heart of Della Fonte is a simple principle: the stone comes first.

The maison works exclusively with natural diamonds and natural precious gemstones — including rubies, emeralds and sapphires — selected for their quality, character and colour. There are no synthetic stones and no shortcuts.
